What causes neck pain?

The majority of neck pain episodes are brought on by strained muscles or sprained soft tissues (ligaments, tendons), but they can also be brought on by an abrupt impact (whiplash). These kinds of neck discomfort frequently go better over time with non-surgical treatment like physiotherapy. But if neck discomfort persists or gets worse, a specific problem may be present that has to be treated. Neck pain, mobility restriction, and decreased general function can all be caused by cervical degenerative disc disease, cervical herniated discs, cervical stenosis, and cervical arthritis.
